A hidden halo is a thin pave of small diamonds delicately set into the mounting of the center stone. Unlike a traditional halo, which surrounds the main stone and is visible when looking at the ring from above, the hidden halo is designed to be admired from the side. Viewed from above, the piece retains the clean, classic look of a solitaire.
Laboratory diamonds offer the same brilliance as natural diamonds and have the maximum diamond hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale. Moissanite is a different stone that sparkles with more colorful reflections and has a slightly lower hardness of 9.25. While they differ in their brilliance and precise hardness, both remain extremely durable for everyday wear.
Clarity (VS, SI) indicates the diamond's purity level. VS means inclusions are invisible to the naked eye, while SI may have very slight inclusions, usually undetectable without magnification. Color (D, E, F) measures the absence of yellowish tint: these three letters correspond to colorless diamonds, the purest and most prized.
