Metal - Sterling silver

Elsie Reford took as much care of her person and appearance
as she did of the gardens at her Métis-sur-Mer residence in the Gaspé Peninsula.
The jewelry she wore was avant-garde and flamboyant.
Our Baroque creations are inspired by the legacy she left us.

Yes. At Flamme en rose, we always use genuine, high-quality freshwater pearls. Unlike synthetic or glass pearls, real cultured pearls have a deep iridescent luster, thanks to their natural nacre.

Yes, you can wear your pearls every day, but it is highly recommended to remove them when they might be exposed to chemicals such as perfume, creams, or hairspray.

Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver, while white gold is an gold alloy (10K, 14K or 18K). In summary, white gold is harder and more resistant to daily wear, while sterling silver is softer. Both are rhodium plated, which gives them the same brilliant shine and protects them against tarnishing. In terms of price, sterling silver is much more affordable, while white gold costs more due to its gold content.

We offer two lengths, either 16 inches or 18 inches. The 16-inch is more suitable for thinner necks and creates a necklace that rests closer to the neck. The 18-inch is the standard length and our best seller. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like a different chain length.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return the jewelry to us within 20 days of purchase. Orders of $500 or less are refundable, and we offer store credit for orders of $1,500 or less. Valid for purchases in Canada only. *All jewelry sold at 30% off or more is final sale.* Click here for details.

Le petit plus de l'équipe ✨

Baroque is our pendant created in collaboration with Reford Gardens, as a tribute to Elsie Reford, the woman behind this exceptional site. The story is fascinating: in 1926, after an appendectomy, her doctor recommended gardening instead of fishing and horseback riding on the family estate. She then began creating these gardens, which she would shape for nearly ten years, without any formal training in horticulture, until they became the national historic site they are today.

The baroque keshi pearl at the heart of this pendant, a real natural pearl whose irregular shape and iridescent nacre make it a unique piece; no two are alike.
